2020 Remaining Farmland Preservation Workshops Rescheduled

The N.C. Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund scheduled 6 free regional farmland preservation workshops  across the state for 2020.

These workshops are for local government, land trusts, conservation nonprofits, and other entities involved in the application, recording, and monitoring of conservation easements.

Landowners interested in conservation easements for their working farm or forest may attend to learn more about the lifecycle of conservation easements.

The two remaining workshops originally scheduled for March 17 and *April 1 have been rescheduled due to the Covid-19 crisis. They are open to the public and will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

  • June 15 – Owens Ag Center, 455 Caton Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360
  • June 11 – *Haywood County Agricultural Center, 589 Raccoon Road, Waynesville, NC 28786 (change of location)

Even though workshops are free, advanced registration is required.
