Join us as we learn about the food we eat; from soil to plate! In this four day camp, participants will learn about agriculture by visiting local gardens and farms and harvest fruits and vegetables to later transform into delicious dishes. On the last day of camp, participants will compete in a Food Challenge Competition (Chopped Style) to see which team can prepare the best dish.The winning team qualifies to compete at our district competition, Friday August 10th. Snacks are provided.This year's theme: "Cook & Consume the Rainbow"
Moore County 4-H is dedicated to providing youth with positive and educational summer camp experiences. 4-H Summer Adventures is a collection of educational workshops, field trips, and hands-on activities designed to give youth positive learning opportunities which focus on developing valuable life skills. These programs are presented by 4-H, the youth development program of Moore County Cooperative Extension.
