*The reduced cost of this workshop is provided via support from Grand Trees of Chatham, a group that recognizes champion, valuable and irreplaceable trees of Chatham County, as well as providing educational programming. 

Join classroom educators, nonformal educators, and natural resource professionals as we explore activities in Project Learning Tree's flagship activity guide, Explore Your Environment. Every participant will leave the workshop with a copy of the guide that includes 50 of PLT's easy to follow multidisciplinary activities that connect students to nature and increase young people’s awareness and knowledge about their environment.  This guide includes revised favorites and new activities. Activities in the Explore Your Environment guide are correlated to NC standards in science and social studies. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the EE Certification Program (K-12). 

The PLT activity guides are provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. If the cost of this workshop is a barrier for you, please reach out to the the NC PLT Coordinator, Renee Strnad, at renee_strnad@ncsu.edu.
